CONTEST: Valentine’s Day Top Commentator Contest

It’s no wonder that I’m talking about Valentine’s Day so early. If you’ve noticed the title, you may have already guessed that I’m about to hold a contest on my blog. Happily, it’s true. I’m going to hold a contest on this blog to engage readers, increase readership, and giveaway some link love.
What is the Contest?
The contest is simple. I’ve already started counting the comments of each individual commentator. The contest has already been started; this is just a short post to let my readers know that it’s officially announced. Throughout the period, all you need is post valuable and informative comments with your opinion. You don’t need to do anything else to join the contest. Anyone posting comment on this blog will be counted as an active contestant.
Details
The contest started on January 1st, 2010, and will end on February 14th, 2010. During this time, all comments will be counted depending on the Email address associated with the comments. There is a live widget at the sidebar of this blog to show off you who is currently at the top. The widget updates itself as soon as comments are posted. However, some restrictions have been put on commenting since the contest began.
Rules
- Be real; forget that you’re commenting for winning a contest. If you post a comment writing most common words such as “Very Nice”, “Helpful”, etc, I am likely to delete that. I don’t like to delete comments, but for the sake of live update of the TCC (Top Commentator Contest) at the sidebar, I need to be a little bit strict about common comments.
- Spam-like behaviors will cause you being banned from the contest. If banned, you can still post comments but won’t be counted as a contestant.
- Use a specific Email address to post all your comments. Using different email addresses will lessen the chance for you to win the contest.
- Too many comments are not encouraged. However, if on an active discussion among more than two people, there will be no harm.
- IP addresses are saved; if you try to fraud, your IP will be banned.
The Prize
First thing last! I know you people are trying to figure out what is the prize for the winner of this contest. Well, although I have been talking about giving away Link Love to the winner, in fact the prize is better than a link only. The prize is:
A 125×125 pixels sidebar banner on this blog for two continual months at no cost; which is worth $30!

Necessary Notes
The winner will be contacted personally for an 125×125 pixels ad linking to his/her blog or website that is suitable for audience of all ages. Sites containing nudity, adultery, aggressive content, content not for a global audience, etc are not eligible to be advertised (in any way, direct or as a prize) on this blog. After two months, the ad will be removed from the sidebar. However, if the winner wants, he can continue advertising on this blog abiding by the rules and paying the standard advertisement rates described at this page.
