Learn to Love Criticism
There are a lot of bloggers’ blocks around. Getting no comments, earning no money, etc are some of those deadly reasons that cause bloggers lose inspiration to blog. But you should always keep in mind that you have to have patience if you are blogging with a serious motivation. You have to work hard. You have to be patient. Remember one thing, success takes time to arrive.
Today, I’m going to talk about the impacts or results of receiving comments that criticize your hard work. I have seen so many bloggers who are frustrated by the critical comments left by others. Most of those bloggers gave up blogging just because of those critical comments that either made them angry or seriously disappointed.
However, you can take all the criticism positively and use them to improve your blog; and that’s exactly what you should do.
90% newbie bloggers face criticism from others due to their ill works. Keep in mind, you might be one of them. But you should not be frustrated with those types of comments. Instead, you should make better use of those comments left by others.
Here’s how you can do it.
Take Advantage of Criticism.
Point Out Weaknesses
After creating a blog, you always look for a professional to review your blog for errors, right? Maybe most of you don’t get a professional review. But those who criticize your work, take an inner look into your blog and point out exactly what you have done wrong. This way, your mistakes are reflected by them and, so, you should thank them.
Point Out Where to Improve
Since criticism points out your faults, you get to know where you should improve. For example, let’s say that someone leaves a comment on your blog:
Oh, your header image sucks!!!!
What should you do then? Yes, you may consider changing the current header image or ask that particular commentator why he didn’t like it.
So, criticism lets you know exactly what you need to improve.
A Chance to Build a strong Readership
Do not angrily reply to a comment that criticizes you; even if that’s totally unfair. Always be as nice and polite as possible so that other people, including that commentator, can draw a great image of you on their mind and gets interested to stay in touch with you, e.g., your blog.
So, what do you do?
It is always recommended not to be rude with your readers, because they are who are supposed to make you winner or loser. Do not show them your actual reaction in response to their rude comments. Instead, be polite, gentle, nice, and friendly.
What do you do if you receive comments that suck?!!
