Help Those Mostly in Need

Sometimes, God wishes to play cruel with us. Putting unavoidable troubles on the poor is just one kind of them. Recently, we've watched what happened in Haiti. It's very sad that there are still countless people dead or alive buried under the collapsed buildings. Although days have been passed, the people in Haiti couldn't recover the heartbreaking loss and one of the worst devastation we've ever seen. They in fact can't unless every person with ability spreads the helping hand. Ask yourself, isn't there anything you can do to help those mostly in need?

Everybody Can Make Money Blogging; Just Motivation is Required : Jinnat-ul-Hasan on Interview

This is an interview post where the blog author/admin interviews a successful Blogger. The blogger will express his story of blogging success according to some questions asked by the author/interviewer.

As announced in the previous post, this is the 50th Post of Life with Technology and I’m bringing Jinnat-ul-Hasan here to share something useful and supportive for those who have just stepped into the blogging world and dreaming to make it a career or a side-job. As he is an extremely busy man with his job — which is also related to SEO and Internet, he couldn’t manage some time to prepare a complete article for this blog. Instead, he has been seated in the hot seat for facing some questions — yes, this is an interview. I’ll ask some questions that will help newbie bloggers in one way or another. First of all, let us know who he is.

The Biography

Jinnat-ul-Hasan was born in Bangladesh who has moved to London about four years ago. By profession, he is working under FE Samuels Group as a webmaster, Blogger, and Search Engine Consultant. He has been blogging since last three years and he found success from the efforts he made for blogging. The best source of making money online for him is Adsense by Google. He has several blogs including Hasan Online and a forum named iSEO.
Today we’re going to talk about his efforts, the formula of blogging in accordance to his experience, the ethics, and behind the scene [of his success].

So, let’s start!

Hello and thank you for Managing some time for this blog. At first, we’d like to know what made you start blogging for money?
I’m a blogger + SEO consultant. I started blogging for myself and used to practice optimization on my blog. Then i realised that I’m getting huge traffic in my websites. So, I decided to make money from blogging

That means your hobby-blogging transformed into a serious motivation. But, weren’t you afraid that you could fail?
[Laughs] Failure is the pillar of success! Of course, in first few days I earned nothing. I was frustrated and was too upset that I started thinking that making money online is just unreal. I was thinking it’s just luck; not everyone can make money online.

So, what do you think right now? Can anybody make money online?
Anyone can make money but there is a BUT. First of all, how motivated you are — that’s the main factor. 3 Qualities should be there: 1. Can you Learn? 2. Can you Work? and 3. Can you Wait? If you have YES for all three questions, you will be successful.
Still most of the time we see that bloggers fail to achieve success. What do you think the reason is? Not everyone is lazy or lacks patience. So what is the main reason behind failure in blogging for money?
This is because they can’t learn from their failure. Suppose you are writing in a niche and you have a feeling that you are not getting your success. Then before failure destroys you, you should leave the niche and find some other topic to blog about. Once you lose your motivation, it’s hard to get it back. So, you should not reach to the end of it. And you should not take blogging seriously until you are getting some sort of success. Otherwise there is a chance that excessive hunger for success may lead to failure.

When did you first receive your AdSense check? What is the normal delay between the day one starts blogging and the time he receives his adsense check?
I received my first adsense cheque on my third month of blogging. And the amount was £197.53 ($393.09). I measure my success of blogging by the number of visitors; not the number in my cheques. If one month I earn less, I’m not afraid of that. But if my traffic goes down, I get upset and work hard. You should not wait for a cheque and none can ensure about the earning. But once you get traffic, you can make money. So everyone should run after traffic.

That’s an incredible amount! How many blogs did you have in your first three months of blogging which made you $393.09?
I guess that moment I was maintaining 2/3 blogs. May be that was my first 3 months blogging using adsense. But don’t forget I was already blogging for long time. So, it was easy for me.

That means you used to blog without placing adsense inside. Why? Today we see that people go blogging after putting adsense. Why were you different? Did you have no plan for making money from it?

To be honest I was not confident and motivated enough to make money online.

Using adsense only, we see that one can’t earn enough from a single blog. It is also not advisable to blog on a topic that you’re not expert/interested in. So, do you think those who blog on a specific topic in a single blog are unable make that much money?

I believe in multiple streaming. Personally I believe you should maintain multiple websites so that if you failed one, you can move easily to another one. Otherwise you will need to start from zero.

Suppose I’m completely new to blogging and want to make money from it. What would be the first lesson you’d teach me?

1. Follow the successful Bloggers.
2. Learn the art of blogging.
3. Find your Niche.
4. Research on it and gather as much knowledge as possible.
5. Get a Domain.
6. Start Posting unique articles.
7. Start Monetizing.

Suppose you want to blog about showbiz, find who the most successful blogger in showbiz are. Read their blogs first. Find out what’s their strength. How they manage to find different articles. How they talk to people.

Do you advise newbie bloggers to buy domain and hosting at the first step?

Domain is just about $8.99-$10. It’s nothing if you divide by 365 days. Blogging with own domain looks more professional than using free subdomain. And if you spend some money, you will have the motivation to make some money too.

Maximum people love adsense as the best money-making method from blogs even though they fail to do so. Do you think that adsense deserves to be the best?

Of course, no doubt. Adsense serves the most related ads of all programs. It’s easy to setup, easy to maintain and comes with different features; especially sizes.

But it takes lot more time to hit the payment threshold (so far $100 for checkout). Isn’t it problematic?

Actually it’s not a big amount if you have a steady traffic. Sometimes if I have my income around that money, or even crossed the amount, I hold my payment on so that I can receive a good amount. Sinnce you have to wait for the cheque, cheque arrives and you have to deposit to bank – I rather wait for big amount than wasting my time.

Everybody can make Money online.

Success Doesn't come, You have to achieve it.

According to your experience, what is the most important matter that every adsense publishers should take care of in order to achieve success?

World is not stopped for you, everyone is getting better and your reader wants the best. So, you have to improve. The most important thing you need to take care of is the content and experiment.

These days we see most of the people are making blogs on Technology, SEO, Blogging, etc. What do you think about this and what is your suggestion to find out a niche for starting out a blog?

There is no problem with those subjects. But it’s your duty to find out niche in those subjects. For instance, if you want to blog about mobile phones, you can instead blog about Android. And blogging without clear knowledge in the niche is similar to the submarine without radar.

What is the hardest part of Blogging for money?

Generating contents on a regular basis and optimizing blog for Search Engines (SEO). You have to remember that, competitors are not sleeping. If you want to make money, you need to be ahead of your game.

And what about the easiest and the most enjoyable part?

There are a couple of things I feel enjoyable and the easiest part in blogging. I enjoy when I start getting traffic, comments and feedback after publishing a post. I also enjoy answering the question that my readers ask. But the most enjoyable part is when I announce that I have received cheque and show off my smiley face along with the cheque.

Instead of money, what other things have you gained and what have you learned in your blogging journey?

I have got fame, blessing, knowledge, patience, tolerance. And I have learnt knowledge, communication skill, writing skills, learn to face criticism and a lot more.

Word of Advice for newbie

If you compare the total number of bloggers, you’ll see the maximum number of bloggers is still in middle-of-the-stage. That means they have started blogging, socializing and optimizing, tweeting, etc but haven’t reached to success yet. They are in the middle of success and scratch.

For those bloggers who are in between success and scratch, write a few words, or maybe a paragraph with the best things you’ve got to advise.

“I would suggest them to carry on what they are doing. By doing that, they will learn the way to getting success. You can’t stop somewhere and say that you’ve done enough. The word ENOUGH should not be in your dictionary. Everything that you are doing may not bring success today, but I believe ultimately you will enjoy the fruit.”

At the end of the day, we’d like to know is it OK for one to think of making blogging as a career?

It’s a very tough question. Some people is happy with $300 every month, and some need a million. It actually depends on how successful you are. If you are successful enough and want to work independently, then you should not waste your time in 9-5 office hour. Better you should blog from your bed. But please don’t sacrifice before getting success.

Our tricky question comes here! Why are you still doing a job in office? Since you’re earning a significant amount of money in part-time blogging, it’s obvious that full-time blogging can make even more money for you.

Blogging is my hobby. Part-time blogging makes $500 a month. But I have not thought of having it as a profession because that requires huge motivation and courage. I guess I’m not motivated enough yet. Unless I establish myself a strong brand, probably I won’t think of doing that.

Alright, now that makes sense how successful one needs to be in order to take it as a profession. Anyway, Thank You very much for spending some time with us.
You are welcome.

Conclusion

Blog was unveiled as a media of expressing thoughts, sharing ideas, thoughts, views and the likes. But the clever people sketched out the best use of it. They started writing in a professional mode and some other advertisers took the huge gatherings as a place of advertising. This was the beginning of today’s [probably] most popular hobby cum business online that can make money without leaving you off your home.
But as each other things, success needs a lot of efforts to be gained. Success in Blogging is not different. Just be motivated, target your audience, find out your topic, get a brand and a piece of land (hosting), and then start blogging on a professional purpose. Success is sure to come along your way.

Almost every one owns a blog. It is the most popular way to express thoughts and ideas online and be reached by millions and millions of readers. The power of blogs should not be ignored as they can serve as effective tools for marketing and promoting products as well as services.
  • Connecting with millions of readers is one of the best successes bloggers may gain. However, it can be motivated to earn some extra cash. Sometimes, this extra cash turns into a full-time-earning-machine as some guys live on blogging.

    Thanks for your comment.
  • I’m in complete agreement with you. My blog has only been up for a couple of weeks but I’ve already met several people who have helped me greatly in understanding how to make the best use of this new method of communication. I also have alienated a fellow in the UK who thinks I’m trying to steal his work! You win some and you lose some,,,
  • Ha Ha, that's true though!

Anyway, thanks for commenting. Hope you come back.
  • Awesome interview. The thing is self motivation. Exactly right.
need to study, need to research, need to work and finally need to expose that is marketing.
    Hard work always pays off.
  • If you're well-motivated, working hard, and following the golden rules of blogging success, you are guaranteed to be successful. But the main problem is we get frustrated at so early stages.
  • Nice interview... This post motivated me a lot...
  • Thanks for your comment. :)
