Anyone Need a Google Wave Invitation?

Google's latest buzz is called "Buzz". I'm still wondering if there are people who still uses complex service Google Wave, after the launch of Google Buzz. I'm a big fan of Buzz and am pretty regular at it. Last time I logged in to my Wave account and noticed that I'm given the power of inviting others to Wave account. I don't know if there are people still interested in trying out Google Wave. However, if there are people out there who are still hunting for a Google Wave invitation, request one here.

Blog Notice: Some Random Statistics, a Poll, and Launch of a Contest

1

Update: The contest has been dropped off due to almost no participation.

Back in April of 2008, this blog was launched with a view of publishing technology related posts such as technology tips, social media news, technology news and the likes. Months ago, the niche or the central topic of this blog was set to “Technology Tips, Blogging Tips, Blog Development, and WordPress articles” targeting especially newbie bloggers. I also started writing reviews of great websites I find across the Internet. Since then, this blog turned a little more active both from writer’s side and reader’s side.

I understand the domain name isn’t relevant to the topic of this blog but that does not cause any big trouble. I work hard for Search Engine Optimization of this blog and these days I’m meeting some success. Most traffic comes from search engine result pages (Thanks to Google!). So far, this blog has a low traffic from social medias excluding twitter. But you will be happy to know that, the blog is growing at a significant rate every single day. Daily pageviews and unique visitors are increasing day by day. At this time, I’ve planned to start a Poll and Hold a contest in my blog as this one is the 49th post of this blog. (The 50th will be a great one. See at the end of this post for details)

Therefore, this post will let you know some insight information about this blog and will announce the contest and the poll recently begun.

This Entry was published on June 14, 2009 but received as low as 1 hit. Poor guy (post)! :(

Traffic

The WassUp plugin was installed and activated in this blog several weeks later the blog was launched. Since then, Life with Technology has received a total of 10,779 unique visits excluding Spam visits and Spiders and 24,645 Pageviews excluding Spam visits and Spiders.
The traffic rate increased several times but they fell down because of low frequency of post publication. I have some problems what often keeps me away from blogging world. (But that definitely doesn’t mean I’m going to give up.)

Blog Rankings

The Advertise page always shows you the current rankings of the blog though that’s not updated real-time. Here’s the current Alexa, Google, and Technorati Blog Rank:
Google PageRank: PR 02

Alexa Traffic Rank: 352,213

Technorati Blog Rank: 457,774

All the Reports including traffic details, top ten posts, and blog ranks were generated when this post was published. The current position of this blog including top ten post list may differ from the report shown above.

Poll

The Poll has already been launched, but here’s the formal announcement of it.
Most of the time we hear the story of failure to earn money from blogs. It’s true that when people start blogging with a serious motivation of earning some extra cash from it, they work hard for it. But the rate of successful blogger is too low comparing to the total number of bloggers who step into the professional blogging world. There might be a lot of reasons for failure to make blogging profitable. But I’m interested to know which one caused your failure or disappointment in blogging for money. That’s why the Poll is created.

[polldaddy poll=1985423]

All you’re asked to do is select your reason and click the “Vote” button. You can also give us your direct answer by clicking on the “Other” option and filling up the box next to it. Please help me find out the worst reason of blogging failure.

The Voting Panel is always found at the right sidebar viewable from any of the pages/posts of this blog. Use the “Share This” button to help me get more votes from your social friends, family, and blogger friends.

Contest: Post A Comment

Though the contest has been named as post “a” comment, what you need to do is post as many comments as you can. But your comments need to follow some specific rules in order for it to be counted for the contest. Oh, did I forget to mention what the contest is about? Damn, Yes!

What to do

In the upcoming 50 posts, I will keep an eye to watch who is posting “more” and “better” (in term of value) comments. The Comment Author will be tracked with the Email address used while posting a comment. Only valuable and relevant comments will deserve to be counted where “Nice Post”, “Very Helpful”, “Thanks for sharing”, etc type of comments do not deserve to be counted.

What you get

Nothing.

Ha Ha, kidding! You get a chance to put a sidebar banner (125×125 pixels) of your blog/website for three continuous months at no cost. Do you see in this blog that a red bird sitting at the top of the right sidebar is asking you to let it sponsor your tweets on twitter and earn money from it? Your banner will be placed right in there.
As always, your free advertisement opportunity will not be available if yours is a blog or website related to Gambling, Girls, Nudity, Pornography or similar kinds of website or blog which are not suitable for general audience.

One Bonus Good News!

It’s always good to have conversation with successful bloggers, right? This time, I’m going to bring a successful blogger I met in real life named “Jinnat ul Hasan” who lives in the United Kingdom. By profession, he is a webmaster, Search Engine Optimization Consultant, Successful SEO blogger, etc, all related to technology and Internet stuffs.
