Some great application to chat right from mobile
I found several people who don’t like chatting. They term it as a waste of time. But I do like chatting. It is not only a way of passing time with friends, but also a good and quick way to exchange short messages among friends. It can be even used in a group conversation. If we use Yahoo messenger for chatting with Yahoo buddies or Gtalk for chatting with Gtalk buddies from a computer, then we are enabled to make voice and video chat. Don’t you think it’s a great thing that I am able to exchange my voice, even my motion picture – video – with my friends? It is a great feature of chatting which shouldn’t be termed as a waste of time. Everything has a good and a bad side. We shouldn’t treat it with the bad side only. We should also focus on the helpful sides it has.
Anyway, I’ve talked a lot about chatting. Now I’m coming to the point. You can’t bear a PC or a laptop computer with you all the time. So what can you do if you want to chat with your friends on the go or if you badly need to chat with someone in an immediate necessity? Well, do you have an internet enabled handset/mobile phone? Then you’re done. All you need is just to configure your handset’s internet settings from your service provider. If you are able to browse web/wap sites using its built-in browser, then you have successfully configured your handset for internet.
Once your handset is configured for internet connectivity, you can visit wap sites or even websites from opera mini browser. To download Opera mini browser in your handset, you have to confirm that your handset supports JAVA MIDP 2.0. If you’re sure that your handsets is eligible, and then point your browser at http://operamini.com and download the compatible version of Opera Mini application. Well, it was a bonus!
Now we’re coming to the exact point. If your handset supports JAVA, then you can download any application that allows you to chat from your Yahoo, Gtalk, MSN etc accounts. I have some options that you may like, too. Here are the choices of mine:
Nimbuzz
Nimbuzz is something that is really rocking! I didn’t know about nimbuzz before I bought my new handset Nokia 5130 XpressMusic. This application is a bit larger (approximately 480-512KB) than others. But the application is cool. It has a great amount of supported services including Facebook, Yahoo, Windows Messenger (MSN), Gtalk, Twitter, Jabber, Gadu-Gudu etc. You have to register before you can login. Once you are registered with your mobile number, you will get access to it and will have to register to the services you want to get logged in each time you log in. For example, if you want to log in to Yahoo, Gtalk and MSN only, then just register to those services providing your username and password. Nimbuzz will shortly open the gateway to your account and will import your contacts into it. And then, you will be logged in. In this way, you will be logged in each time you log in to Nimbuzz using your Nimbuzz ID and password. Here are the special features of Nimbuzz that made me sure that it is the best:
1. Easy log in system and user-friendly interface.
2. Advantage of sending offline message.*
3. Advantage of sending photo or voice message directly from your phone’s camera or voice recorder to your online contacts.
4. Nimbuzz has its own chat-rooms. You can search for public or private chat-rooms and enter into it. You can chat with lots of users like you and make whole new friends from around the world.
Disadvantage: Large in size, so most of the older handsets don’t support it. Due to its size, you may not be able to download the application directly to your mobile.**

Nimbuzz in mobile, mobile in hand
Now, that is what Nimbuzz is. But I see some asterisk (*) marks exist in the advantage and disadvantage. What else do they have to say? Let’s check them up.
* I’ve searched for an application that supports users to send messages when a contact is offline or invisible. But believe me, I haven’t found any application without Nimbuzz that enables to send offline message. So in this consideration, Nimbuzz is great.
** If you are unable to download Nimbuzz directly to your mobile due to the download size limit, you can go through an alternative way. Go to Nimbuzz’s website from your computer and download the application. Once downloaded, send the application to your handset’s memory through Bluetooth technology or USB device. You are done, man!

Mig33
Screenshot of Mig33
Mig33 is one of the most used and most popular mobile chatting options in the world. Mig33 has also got its own chat-rooms which increased its popularity. It is also free to use. Only carrier charge may apply to service provider. Let’s have a look what Mig33 has to offer:
1. Advantage of creating a special profile which is viewable to mig33 contact search.
2. Advantage of chatting with Gtalk, MSN, AOL and Yahoo contacts.
3. Advantage of sending photo directly or from storage/memory to contacts.
And as usual, no offline messages can be sent. But yes, if an invisible contact sends you a message first, then you may reply to him/her.

eBuddy
eBuddy is another great application using what you can only chat with Gtalk, MSN, AOL, Yahoo and some other contacts. It doesn’t have any own chatrooms or users. But you have to register before you can login to eBuddy. You may find eBuddy very attractive application but I don’t like it as I’m unable to even reply to an invisible contact that sends me message first. So, in this consideration, Nimbuzz is the boss. Yet if you want to try eBuddy for your mobile, go to http://ebuddy.com from your handset’s built-in browser and download the application. eBuddy is also free to use but carrier charge may apply to the service provider.
There are plenty of chatting applications out there which can be found in http://getjar.com and downloadable at no cost. But abovementioned applications are the kings of the mobile chatting world. And Nimbuzz is definitely the king of the kings! I recommend you use Nimbuzz, experience the freedom of Mobile!
